Hexham Hobble Fell Race

2 DEC2009

Hexham Hobble Fell Race route

On the 6th December, 11am, the Fells around Hexham will again be greeted by a motivated and lively group of runners to complete the one lap 10.5 mile fell route. 120 runners took part last year on the undulating course and this year sees the 16th time it has been run. The 10.5 mile route takes in a 1220 feet ascent so it is not for the faint hearted!

Allen Valley Striders who organise the race will be taking entries on the day from 9.30am at Allendale Village Hall. The start and finish is at Allendale Fire Station, Shilburn Road, (first left after schools).

race profile

Race entry is a very friendly price of £4 for club runners or £5 for non-club runners. Changing facilities and refreshments are available on site for a well-earned drink and re-fuel after the race for spectators and runners alike!

For further information and race entry visit Allen Valley Striders website for more details.
