Course Record Prizes at Langtoft 10km

The Langtoft Road Run is an annual event held on the first sunday in May. This popular event consists of a 3K fun run through the village of Langtoft, followed by a 10K road run through the villages of Langtoft, Greatford and Barholm. The races are organised by a group of volunteers, and all proceeds are donated to community projects within Langtoft Village.

 

Entry forms and course route maps can be found on the official website.10km, Start: 11am. UKA members: £7.00 Non affiliated: £9.00 Late Entries: + £2.00
Last registration: 10.45am. All runners must be at least 17 years old. Medals to all finishers.

There is also a 3k course / Fun Run, Start: 10.15am. Medal to all finishers. Under 16: £2.00 Adults: £3.00, Entries on the day: + £1.00. Children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult. For the School Teams Challenge details, please see the official website for more infomation.

This year we are offering a cash prize for the winning Male and/or Female runner if they beat the current course record. This years prize fund is: £50 for the female record. £75 for the male record.

The 'beat the record' cash prize was started in 2009. The prize is award to the winning Male and /or Female runner if they beat the current course record.
The prize fund is initially started at £50 for both the Male and Female records. If a course record remains unbroken, a further £25 is added to the relevant prize fund for the following years event. If a course record is broken, then the prize fund is reset to £50 for the following years event.
In 2009 the male record remained unbroken. The female record was broken by Clare McKittrick of Charnwood AC with a time 36:32

Can you help? The success of this event relys heavily on additional voluntary help on the day of the race, so even if you are unable to run, your help would be greatly appreciated. If you are able to spare a couple of hours to help marshall or man the drinks stations, please visit the official website and contact the organisers directly.
