1st Holymoorside Scout Group Organise inaugural 10k

The Holymoorside 10km race takes place on May 9, 2010 starting at 10.30am. Organised by the 1st Holymoorside Scout's group, this is their inaugural 10k run and it takes place in Holymoorside in Chesterfield.

1st Holymoorside Scouts depends upon its fundraising activities. If you would like to make a donation please add it to your entry fee and the full amount will be donated to the scouts. Entry fees are £10 / £12 for affiliated / non-affiliated UKa members.

The 10k road race starts on Holymoor Road, Holymoorside near the village hall and heads straight up Loads Road passing through scenic Derbyshire countryside to Longside Moor. The route curves to the left across the moor before turning left into Harewood Road. As it winds its way back down into the village the route takes in the stunning scenery of Harewood Moor, ending in the playing field behind the village hall.

Holymoorside is easily accessible from anywhere in Derbyshire or the Peak District. You can enter from either the North, via Chatsworth Road, or the south via Walton. Road-side parking will not be possible, but free parking is available to all entrants. The car park is a short walk from the race start/finish, and will close at 10:10 am to clear the route in time for the race start. When you arrive in Holymoorside there will be signs to guide you to the car park.
