Michael Vaughan To Start Helen’s Trust Race
27 APR2010

England's ex cricket captain, Michael Vaughan, will start the 2010 Chatsworth 10K and present the prizes for the May 23 run, in aid of Helen's Trust. The race has grown tremendously in popularity since its first race two years ago, this year seeing a refreshed circular route around the beautiful Chatsworth estate in Derbyshire.
The 10k event (starting at 9.30 a.m.) will again be accompanied by a 3.5k fun run (starting at 11.30 a.m.) around the Deer Park and fancy dress is encouraged with prizes for the best turned out.

There is still time for runners to book their place in the enhanced 10K race, taking the stunning views that the Chastworth estate has to offer, from the Deer Park, the house itself and Stand Wood. Improvements this year include extra toilets, bag storage, professional signage and the opportunity to do some shopping with leading sports retailers.
The race is organised by and in aid of Helen's Trust, a local charity that helps people with cancer and incurable illness, to stay in their own home. The Trust endeavours to fund whatever it takes to achieve this aim, for example: nursing care, sitters, help to run the house, equipment care for others or complementary therapy. This help is available in the Derbyshire Dales and the North East of Sheffield.
With limited places in the 10k, registration is essential to ensure your place on the starting line. For more information, visit the Helen's Trust website.
