Bradford Hosts 10km Race In Aid Of Epilepsy Charity

5 DEC2009

The Bradford 10km road race, on Sunday 21st March 2010, takes place in the city centre on a flat and fast, traffic free course making it ideal for running beginners and experienced road racers. The start (9am) and finish takes place in the stunning Centenary Square in Bradford's city centre.

Entries are £14 for UK athletics affiliated runners and £16 for unattached runners. No entries will be accepted on the day so make sure you get your entries posted off in good time. Runners are also encouraged to run in aid of the race sponsor charity, Epilepsy Action. Over 1000 runners are expected for the event and with Chip Timing provided, accurate kilometre makers and drinks stations, personal bests could be the call of the day!

Refreshments and baggage storage are available at the start / finish area and all runners receive a finishers T-shirt. A Map of the course can also be found on the Epilepsy Charity website along with more information on the event.

Runners that enter the Bradford Epilepsy Action 10k will also be able to benefit from training clinics, supervised by qualified coaches, in the lead-up to the event, courtesy of Airedale Athletics (a partnership of three running clubs - Bradford-Airedale AC, Eccleshill Road Runners and St Bede's AC). For more information regarding training sessions and times, contact Airedale Athletics. Airedale Athletics caters for all age-groups, backgrounds, abilities and running disciplines so why not enter the race and raise some money for charity and get yourself along to one of the local clubs for some top training advice to make that race PB a certainty!
