Run The Great North For Charity
21 MAY2010
When choosing a charity to run for, it can be hard to pick just one. RNID are urging racers to sign up for the Great North Run on September 29 2010, as a charity runner for their cause. With limited numbers available, runners will need to move quickly to guarantee their place.
Running for RNID, racers are asked to raise £350 in funds and pay a registration fee of £40. Runners will receive a dedicated fundraiser, fundraising pack and running vest, training and nutrition advice and a post race reception, where runners can have a snack, drink and well deserved massage.
The Great North Run is one of the biggest in the Bupa Great Run Series, with over 50,000 runners taking part each year. It is of half marathon distance, covering 13.1 miles between Newcastle and South Shields.
RNID is a national charity that works to improve and change the lives of the 9 million people in the UK who are deaf or hard of hearing. If runners have already signed up to the race but wish to raise money for RNID, you can contact their events team.
There are several other charities that are partnered with the Great North Run. A full list is available on the Great north Run website.
