Penny Lane 10K Returns For 2010 Race Calendar

31 MAY2010

Start of 2008 Race

July 4 2010 will see the return of the Penny Lane Striders 10K race with a new route, after the disappointment of having to cancel last year's event. The popular event, which has consistently received fantastic reviews since its first running in 2006, has a great atmosphere, is well organised and club members promote a healthy team spirit about the event.

This year's route is described as fast, flat and scenic, taking in the beautiful Otterspool promenade and car park. The new route follows concrete paths along the river and through the park and has something for everyone with a shirt trail section included.

The race will start from the Merseyside Police Club in Aigburth at 10am and with a limit of 450 runners, competitors are urged to get their entries in fast, as organisers are expecting the places to fill quickly. Entry is £10 and can be made either through the Penny Lane Striders website, or by postal entry form.
