New Running Group In The Wirral

11 JUN2010

Runners on the beach in the Wirral

Wirral Council is adding a new running group to its successful Run in England project, which so far has seen over 100 Wirral residents lace up their trainers and take to the streets (and beach).

The new group will be aimed at more advanced runners, a step up from the beginners groups that are currently in the area. The new group will meet on Wednesday evenings 6.30 pm - 7.30 pm at West Kirkby Concourse.

The group will be led by experienced leader David Nalder, who also leads a Run in England group in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire. David, semi-retired, spends most of his spare time running and keeping fit and says 'I used to be obsessive about running but I'm alright now!'

For more information about this new group and all the other Wirral Council running groups please contact Fiona Pantrich, 0151 653 1324.
