Date Announced For 9th Bupa Great Manchester Run

Bupa Great Run organisers, Nova International have confirmed that the 2011 running of the Bupa Great Manchester Run will take place on Sunday May 15. 2011 will be the 9th time that the popular race has been run as part of the Bupa Great Run Series, which includes seven races nationwide.

The Great Manchester RUn was first held in 2003, and has since grown in popularity, becoming one of the most eagerly anticipated 10K events in the running calendar. The 2010 race was televised live on the BBC, with a record entry level of 36,000 runners.

Runners wishing to take part in next year's event will need to wait until entries open in November to secure their place, however, potential participants can sign up for the 2011 reminder service here.
