Chester Marathon 2011

22 JUL2010

The start of the 2010 Chester Marathon

The date for the 2011 MBNA Chester Marathon has now been announced and next year's race will take place on October 9. Building on the success of the 2010 race, organisers have responded to runner comments and developed an exciting new route, which incorporates Chester's iconic landmarks and will allow an increased amount of runners.

The new route will start and finish at Chester Racecourse, providing a spectacular backdrop and great facilities for both runners and spectators. The course will also span across the border from England to Wales and back, with 17 miles in England and the remaining 9 in the welsh countryside.

Pre-Registration is now open for the 2011 Chester Marathon, but with it's Spring date being swapped for autumn, runners will have to wait that little bit longer to race in that popular event for the second time.
