Trail Running Recce At Rivington

18 AUG2010

Trail Runners in Rivington

Competitors in the Salomon Rivington Trail Half Marathon on October 2 2010 are invited to take part in a 'Recce Run' on September 5 to sample the revised route which will be used for this year's race. Andy and Shirley Staveley will be taking runners around the new course, as they were the inspiration behind it.

Runners are asked to meet at 9.30am on Sunday September 5, ready to run, where Shirley and Andy will take runners around the course in two pace groups. It is a great chance to sample the new course and what's more, its free!

Shirley and Andy will meet runners at Rivington and Blackrod School in Rivington Lane, near Horwich, on the Sunday morning and whoever is there is welcome to join in. Whether runners are taking part in the main event in October or not, it will be a fantastic opportunity to explore the moors and give runners a taste of what is to come.

Entries are still open for the Salomon Rivington Trail Half Marathon and runners can enter online.
