Carlisle Hosts Second 10K

27 AUG2010

Carlisle's Sheepmount Stadium

Following from the success of last year's first Carlisle 10K, 2010's race will take place on Sunday, with organisers hoping it will continue to be as successful the second time round. More than 400 runners took to the new course in 2009, which started and finished at Sheepmount Athletics Stadium.

This year's race will start at Bitts Park and follow a route to Eden Bridges, Rickerby Park, Linstock and Brampton Road. Runners will finish the race on the 400m track, again at Sheepmount Stadium. All finishers will receive a goody bag and t shirt and it is sure to be a great day out for all the family to enjoy.

The event is organised by GB Events, who also host the West Cumbrian Run and English Half Marathon. They hope to make the Carlisle 10K one which is highly anticipated in the northern running calendar. Good luck to all participants in Sunday's race.
