New Run In England Group Coming To Merseyside
30 AUG2010

Following from the success of the Run in England group in Litherland, Liverpool, Sefton Council has decided to launch another group from Bootle Leisure Centre, starting on Thursday September 16, with plans to operate a third in the area, already in the pipeline.
The first to be launched in the area was the Litherland Active Sefton Group, in September 2009, and runs on a Monday evening. The sessions cater for adults of all ages, shapes, sizes and abilities. The group has gone from stregth to strength, lead by Run in England Merseyside County Activator, Chris Henders,
"With the help of Sefton Council staff we have brought more than forty people through the doors, with more than twenty of those going on to become members who continue to be fully active on a weekly basis." he said. "The best part for me as a group leader is that the members are of completely different abilities showing this project really does cater for all. If someone wants to get started with running for any reason then they are very welcome to come along to have a chat or just give it a go!"
The new group will run on Thursday lunchtimes and will be open to runners of all levels. For more information, visit the Run in England website.
