Edinburgh Marathon 2011 Now Open

1 SEP2010

Entries are now being taken for the Edinburgh Marathon Festival (EMF) in Association with Oxfam. Public entries opened for all events over the weekend of May 21/22, which will include a full marathon, team relay, EMF half marathon, EMF 10K, EMF 5K, Junior EMF and an International Breakfast Run.

Adding to the success of this year's half marathon, organisers GSi events have introduced four new events for the 2011 festival, with a breakfast run, new distances at 10K and 5K, as well as a Junior race.

Also new next year, is the festival's association with Oxfam, as their principal charity partner. Oxfam's three-year partnership with the Edinburgh Marathon Festival hopes to bring £1million to help Oxfam beat global poverty. Runners can also sign up as a charity entrant from today, all from the Edinburgh Marathon Festival website.

Entries for all events will be on a first-come, first-served basis, so runners are urged to move quickly to avoid disappointment.
