Still Time To Enter Kielder Marathon Events

15 SEP2010

Kielder Water and Forest Park (Kielder Partnership)

Runners who missed out on the chance to enter the first ever Kieler Marathon, launched by British running legends, Steve Cram and Sally Gunnell OBE, can still take part in the race weekend on October 16/17, with entries for the 'Run Bike Run' event closing on Friday.

The Kielder 'Run Bike Run' event will follow the same course as the marathon, but will take place in a three stage relay, with two running sections and one on two wheels. Teams of three will be accepted for the 'Run Bike Run' in either the Corporate, Family or Open categories.

The course is mainly off road, following the Lakeside Way, a brand new trail that encircles he shoreline of Kielder Water, northern Europe's largest man-made lake. The entry fee is £100 per team. Entries close on Friday, September 17.
