Barking Mad Seaside 10K

10 NOV2010

The inaugural Southport Mad Dog Seaside 10K Run will take place on February 6, 2011. The new race is organised by the Southport Hesketh Round Table, in memory of Tony 'Mad Dog' McWade, who passed away earlier this year.

The race is expected to attract around 800 runners, who will start and finish at Stanley School. The route will take them down past the Southport Municipal Golf Course and Marine Lake, before turning back at Pleasureland, with the return leg along the promenade for about 5km

All entrants will receive an event t-shirt and goodie bag, with finishers receiving a medal as they cross the line. Prizes will go to the first three males and females finishers as well as spot prizes going to anyone in the first 500 runners who finishes with a 7th placing.

Runner can enter online now for £14.50/£12.50. Closing date for entries is January 20, 2011. All proceeds will go to local family support charity, Southport and Formby Home-Start.
