Thirsty For Thirsk

25 NOV2010

The Thirsk 10 will take place this weekend for the 28th time, a race which attracts many of the north's top runners each year. Runners in the 2010 race will be trying to beat last year's course record, set at 48:32 by David Webb of Leeds City.

The day will include a fun run of two miles, so families and friends of the runners in the main 10 mile event can come along and enjoy the atmosphere. All fun run finishers will receive a hat and 10 mile finishers will get a t-shirt for their efforts.

Runners will be in for a chilly race, with forecasters predicting sunny intervals and highs of just 2 degrees. The fun run will start at 10am from Thirsk Racecourse and the Thirsk 10 mile race will begin at 11am. Good luck to everyone taking part in the race on Sunday.
