Big Year For Team Accelerate

Team Accelerate is speeding off again with an action packed year of running events planned for 2011. The Sheffield-based adventure running teamhas just announced their 2011 schedule and what a year is planned, following such a successful year in 2010.

Kicking off with The Apex Race in Switzerland in May, a four-day epic that will take the runners through the Alpsthe team moves onto the Adventure Racing World Series Explore Sweden event in early July. Then it's back home to the UK in August, to compete in the Coast 2 Coast race, racing from one side of the country to the other.

Later in the year the team will partake in the Adventure Racing World Series Tasmania event, finishing up in December with the Abu Dhabi Adventure Challenge.

This will undoubtedly be a thrilling year for the running team involved, and the club is also looking to expand their membership, so now is certainly the time to sign up. New members will be able to participate in the UK Adventure Races along with the rest of the team.

Adventure Racing enthisiasts claim that it is one of the most enjoyable and fast growing sports in the UK currently, encompassing mountain biking, fell running, kayaking and gorge scrambling.
