Runners in the north of England looking to make early race plans for 2011 should know that the Daily Mirror has again secured an incredible 3,000 guaranteed places in the Great North Run. The event, the world's biggest half-marathon, is shown live on BBC1 for four hours, and pictures are beamed around the world to an international audience.
So if you've always wanted to be part of the Bupa Great North Run, take advantage of this opportunity and join celebrities like Carol Vorderman, Nell McAndrew and Kevin Keegan, who've all completed the big race in recent years.
More than a million have entered the Bupa Great North Run since it started in 1981 and on Sunday September 18, 2011, another 50,000 plus will put their fitness to the test.
