Looking For Your First Half Marathon of 2010?

4 JAN2010

The 15th Liversedge Half Marathon takes place on Sunday February 14, 2010 at 12 noon. Registration (where all numbers have to be collected on the day) is in Roberttown Community Centre, which is approximately 3 minutes walk from the start on Roberttown Common and is a small village about 1.5miles from Heckmondwike

Liversedge Half Marathon

The race entry fee is £10 (attached) and £12 (unattached) with no entries on the day so get yourself organised and send off an entry form today. With a race limit of 500 runners, which has been filled for the last 3 years by mid January you will need to be quick.

The race in 2009 saw Tracey Morris win the ladies race in a new course record so fast times are predicted. One of the race organisers told www.northernrunningguide.com that 'the race attracts a good spread of club and non club runners, and a surprisingly high proportion of women. We do tend to attract quite a lot of runners from the North East, possibly because they are used to running up hills'. So whether you are a new runner or a seasoned pro this is definitely a half marathon to put in your diary and see how well that winter training has gone!

Parking and changing facilities are available to runners at the Community centre at the start / finish area. A Memento T-Shirt is given out to all those running and prizes are up for grabs in the usual categories.

Local supporters will be lining the course providing fantastic support and with several local running clubs in the area, many experienced hands on stand-by to make the day run smoothly and enjoyable for runners and spectators alike.
