The 2011 Run to the Beat Half Marathon is now open to entries. The event is being sponsored by Nike+ and will be the fourth running of the race. The event starts and finishes at the O2 in London on September.

The race will feature exclusive on-course entertainment due to be announced in the coming months. Entries cost £44, but includes Nike Dri-Fit performance t-shirt, Nike+ Training Programme and artists and DJs performing along the route. Over 8,000 are expected to enter the race.

This year, the race's official charity will be Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research which is the only UK charity solely dedicated to research into blood cancers, including leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma. For entries, visit the race website.
