Entries Open For Liverpool 10Ks
8 MAR2011
Hot on the heels of a record breaking Liverpool Half Marathon entry in excess of 7,000, entries are now open for the Women's 10K and Tunnel 10K events. Both 10K races are now established events in the 'RunLiverpool' calendar attracting big fields.
The Women's 10K also has a 5K distance and 1 Mile Fun Run for under 12s. Set in the elegant surroundings of Sefton Park, the Women's 10K attracts a good mix of experienced athletes and fun runners alike. So whether you want to race the six mile course or simply jog your way around, this is the event for you. There's a medal, t-shirt and goody bag for all those taking part on the day!
The Tunnel 10K event has grown in popularity since 2006 when it returned to the race calendar after a four year break. There will be around 3,000 runners taking part in this unique 10K which has nearly two miles of the course underground!
With the kind permission of the Mersey Tunnels Authority runners can race through the Kingsway (Wallasey) Tunnel as they move from Liverpool city centre to finish on the promenade at New Brighton. And you don't have to worry about the return journey as Mersey rail transport all runners from the finish area back to Liverpool city centre.
Again there's a medal, t-shirt and goody bag for all those taking part on the day!
Enter online or download an entry form at the RunLiverpool website or call into the Event Office which is on the 1st Floor at Natterjack Running Centre in North John Street.
