Run For Chernobyl Charity

10 JAN2010

The Chernobyl 10km race run for the past two years takes place again on Sunday January 24, 2010 at 11am in Walton Park, Preston. With the full 500 entries being taken up for the past 2 years, advanced entry to the race is advised.

With 440 of the 496 race entries managing a 10km time under the hour, the 10km route provides a good course for those to test out how their winter training has gone. Organisers encourage runners to try and raise money for the charity prior to and post the event for the Chernobyl charity.

The race takes place at The Welcome Tavern, Hennel Lane, Lostock Hall, Walton Park, PR5 5UL. There are good race facilities on site including toilets and parking and the £8 pre booked (£10 entry on the day) also includes a race memento for all finishers. More information on the Chernobyl charity and the race can be found on the official website along with race entry forms.
