Liverpool Sign Hilton

The framework around the new RunLiverpool Marathon, set to take place on October 9, is continuing to build up with the announcement that Hilton Hotel Liverpool will be the event's official accommodation partner for 2011. The landmark property at the heart of the remodeled city centre will become 'Marathon Headquarters' and a hub of activity over the weekend of October 7-9. The RunLIverpool event team will use the hotel and its facilities to manage the race as well as providing press facilities to national and international media.

The Hilton Liverpool is also the preferred supplier for RunLiverpool's international travel partner and will accommodate runners from Europe and the United States during their stay in the city. The Hilton Liverpool boasts 215 guest rooms, offers great views over the city or Albert Dock, and is on the doorstep of the Liverpool ONE.

The hotel has a range of high class bars and restaurants and for runners wishing to stay in peak physical condition, the hotel also offers a 24-hour fitness centre, equipped with cardio and resistance equipment and free weights.

Shuttle buses for participants taking part in the 'Fab Four Mile' a four-mile family warm-up jog which takes place in Sefton Park on the day before the Marathon, will also leave from the hotel on Saturday, October 8.
