2012 Brighton Race Open For Entries

18 APR2011

Following the recent successful second runnning, entries are already open for the third Brighton Marathon in 2012. From Monday, April 11, 12,000 on-line entries were made available on a 'first-come-first-served' basis. These standard entry places will close either when the capacity is reached or at midnight on Saturday, April 30 2011, whichever comes first.

This year's Brighton Marathon sold out in just four weeks so organisers anticipate selling out even more quickly for the 2012 race. After these first 12,000 spots have been taken, there will be an open ballot for an additional 3,000 places.

At midnight on Saturday, April 30, or before if the 12,000 Standard Entry places have filled, a ballot will open for an additional 3,000 places. The ballot will remain open until 5pm on Tuesday, May 31, 2011.

Anyone interested in claiming one of the remaining 3,000 general entries must register their interest during this period. The 3,000 successful ballot entrants will be drawn randomly from the ballot entries on Wednesday, June 1 2011 and will, that same day, be sent an email with a registration link and unique code.

Each person will then have almost two weeks (until midnight on Friday, June 17, 2011) to accept the place and complete their registration. Any places not accepted will be re-allocated into a second draw and the individuals informed. Any entries not taken up will be retained by race organisers.

There will also be a further 5,000 charities places available in the 2012 Brighton Marathon, which will be available for the charities page on the Brighton Marathon website. For all entry information for the 2012 race, see: www.brightonmarathon.co.uk
