Two Weeks Till Big Manchester 10K
17 JUN2011

There's just two weeks to go until the K-Swiss City of Manchester 10K on July 3 at Eastlands (formerly Sportcity) but there's still time to enter and join an anticipated field of 3,000, including Olympic athlete and TV personality, Iwan Thomas, and legendary marathon runner, Ron Hill.
The K-Swiss City of Manchester 10K is open to all runners and manages to attract a good field ofboth elite athletes and fun runners who are happy with a relaxed jog, soaking up the summertime atmosphere. Last year's winning time was 29.22 and even the north-west's fastest are going to have go some to lower Jean Ndayisenga's 2010 effort.
Alongside the main 10k race, there is also a 'Toddler Trot' open to children under 8 (mums and dads can hold the hands of the very youngest!). All children taking part will receive a commemorative medal.
The third event this year is K-Swiss City of Manchester 10k Corporate Challenge in association with GM Business Week. July 3 will determine who is the fastest business team in the North West and who can raise the most money for their chosen charity? The GM Business Week Corporate Challenge is open to all businesses who want to enter a team of runners, with the first three home counting towards the challenge.
Find out more about all the July 3 at race organisers Sports Tours International's website.
