Deadline Extended For Big Manchester 10K
29 JUN2011

There's still time to enter the K-Swiss City of Manchester 10K which is being run at the Regional Athletics Arena at Eastlands on Sunday, July 3. The online deadline for the event billed as the People's Race has been extended. The K-Swiss City of Manchester 10K is one of the north-west's most popular 10Ks and will have a 2,000 plus field.
Organiser Graham Jackson at Sports Tours International told northernrunningguide.com: "This is your chance to compete with an Olympian as Iwan Thomas will be our official starter before running round the course. The weather forecast is good and we're sure the sun will come out on the day but that means all runners should have proper sun protection and also make sure they are well-hydrated.
Graham continued: "Check out the route map on the Sports Tours International website (in the Gallery section) and make sure you visit the event exhibition which is taking place on site."
You can still enter the K-Swiss City of Manchester 10K online although all race packs have now been sent out and late entrants should pick up their packs at the Regional Athletics Arena at Eastlands before the race. You can enter the race on Sunday, October 9 but if you are planning to do that make sure you turn up at least 1 hour before the race start time of 9.30am.
