A Sting In The Tail

3 AUG2011

Congleton Harriers logo

Runners in the north-west are looking forward to the 28th Sting-In-The-Tail Congleton Half Marathon coming up on Sunday, October 9. The event is run over a testing but scenic course and organisers are expecting an entry of 800 plus for this popular race.

The Congleton Half Marathon is being organised this year by Congleton Harriers - the event was previously staged by Congleton Lions and the new team have decided to drop the Congleton Quarter Marathon.

Steve Webb of the race organising committee told northernrunningguide.com: "We have decided not to organise the quarter marathon this year but we're still getting enquiries from runners about the shorter race. We are advising runners to enter the half marathon instead (and offering training advice!). Another major change is that we are not doing entries on the day and are only doing online entry."

You can enter the Congelton Half Marathon online at the ukforms website.
