Joggers Slay Dragons

30 AUG2011

dragons den

Dragons Den fans who tuned in on Sunday night, will have seen London duo Henry Buckley and JJ Harding of JogPost face the fearsome five head on, successfully slaying all but Theo Paphitis, who despite being impressed, failed to make an offer.

Holding their own and delivering a pitch perfect presentation, both Henry and JJ were impressive and confident about their company - JogPost, a direct marketing company that uses joggers to deliver marketing materials door to door in London.

Having reached a point in the development of the business where they needed help with internal processes to become better organised, more efficient, and more successful, they knew that investment was key for the future of the company.

The dragons were clearly keen to invest in this unique venture and with four offers on the table the boys were able to take their pick. Last to "say where they were at" was Deborah Meadon, but with her realistic offer and obvious enthusiasm for the project, she came up trumps and the deal, as they say, was done.

Speaking about their unique delivery method Henry said: “We're the only company that employs runners, which means we offer a quicker and more cost-effective service, the other big selling point is that we offer a totally environmentally-friendly solution. As a business, we've made a commitment to offset at least twice as much carbon as we use."

Henry continued: "With JogPost, JJ and I wanted to come up with a business that could also help tackle problems in the community, we wanted to give jobs to the long-term unemployed and those who've recently arrived in the UK, many of whom are being paid slave wages by unscrupulous employers. Our customers like our business concept and our ethical approach."
