Isle of Axholme Hosts the Ferry 5 Miler

Do you fancy taking in the scenic views of the Isle of Axholme? Why not take advantage of the Ferry 5 mile race organised by 'Metres to Miles' taking place on Sunday 13th December starting at 10.45am. This is the first year this race has been run and with entries limited to 500 places for the fast, flat course, entries are bound to be snapped up.

The flat, fast 5 mile route is all completed on rural roads around the historic Isle of Axholme in North Lincolnshire. The ancient Isle of Axholme, is the North Western corner of North Lincolnshire, and is bound in the North by the River Ouse, the River Don in the North-West, the River Trent in the East, the River Idle in the South and the lowlands of the Thorne and Hatfield Moors in the West. So is sure to produce some fantastic views on the racing route.

Race HQ is situated at Coronation Hall, Owsten Ferry, DN9 1RL. T-Shirts are awarded to all finishers alongside extensive 'spot' prizes and a full prize listing. Photographers will be on hand to capture your running images and special moments along the course. Refreshments and parking are available to the start and finish of the race. Entries are £10 for club members, £12 for non-club runners, with a £2 sur-charge for race day entries (postal entries close on Friday 11th December).
