Parkrun In Barrow

parkrun arrived in Cumbria on Saturday when 25 runners toed the line in Barrow Park at 9.00am. Garry John Dixon of Barrow & Furness Striders had the honour of finishing first and establishing the course record at 18:09; Ruth Turner was fastest woman in 25:21.Reflecting the inclusiveness that is a hallmark of parkruns throughout the UK, the field included teenagers through to 60somethings and runners of all abilities. parkrun is the weekly 5k timed run.
