MOT Your Feet

The Foot Centre, based in Lancaster, is offering free consultations, or 'Foot MOTs', to people who are concerned about poor posture, blisters, sore feet, and people who suffer from frequent and persistent injuries. For the duration of Saturday, October 22, The Foot Centre will use state of the art equipment to build a 3D map of your feet, leading to the creation of a high quality, thermo-moulded insole tailored to each individual foot.
With the average runner taking over 2000 strides per mile, or 1000 rotations in which each foot comes in contact with the ground, there can be little surprise that our feet often bear the brunt of our physical exertions. For some leather-worn soles are battle scars from unforgiving marathons, however the pangs of running often reveal themselves with crippling blisters and aching arches.
On the day, there will be various professionals on-hand to provide information on physiotherapy, nutrition, neurology, and assistance with any weight, digestive or performance concerns.
No appointment is necessary for the 'Foot MOT', with the consultations all taking place in the Foot Centre store based within the Runners Centre, 10 King's Arcade, Lancaster. More contact information is available at The Foot Centre website.
