Blackburn Winter Warmer Entries Open

Blackburn Road Runners are hosting their annual Winter Warmer 10km on Sunday February 14, 2010. There is also a 2.5km Junior race which takes place at 10am, with the 10km senior race starting at 11am. The Junior race takes place on traffic free roads within Witton Park, with the 10km race route starting within the park also.

With £100 offered for anyone who posts the best time over the current course records (Men; 31.29minutes Ben Fish, 2008; Women; 34.53minutes Olivia Walwyn, 2009) and prizes in the junior event aswell as the senior 10km, a competitive field will be gathered along with those just looking for a pb or a leisurely sunday morning stroll. With the junior event also taking place it can make for a great family day out.

Race registration is available from 9am at the Pavillion in Witton Park on Preston Old Road. Race entry for the junior event (minimum age 5 years) is £2 (no extra charge for on the day entries). The 10km race (minimum age 15 years) is £6 (club runners) and £8 (non club runners) with an extra £2 surcharge for on the day entries.
