Ten Out Of Ten
1 NOV2011
It was a mixed bag in terms of the weather at the weekend, with Sheffield experiencing a wet and miserable Saturday fortuitously followed by a clear and bright Sunday - ideal conditions for the second staging of the TenTenTen event, a 10K race around the city's Endcliffe Park. This year proved as popular as 2010's inaugural event with 1000 people turning up to challenge themselves on the parkland course.
The route was the reverse of last year and the new addtion of the Mizuno Hill Sprint Challenge pushed competitors to run the 100m hill in the fastest time possible. Those with the quickest time were crowned King and Queen of the Hill and won some great prizes from Mizuno!
Local boy Julian Lings was back to defend his crown successfully in a time of 34.37min with fastest female Stephanie Sutcliffe achieving a very respectable time of 40.21min.
