Manchester Hosts Trafford 10km Race

12 FEB2010

The very popular Trafford 10km Road Race organised by Altrincham & District AC takes place on Sunday February 21, 2010 at 9.30am. The flat, fast course which consists of a single lap of country lanes around Partington in Manchester always attracts some big names with Louisa Wood winning the ladies race last year (35.58minutes) and Mark Warmby (30.17minutes) the men's race, both in course record times.

The course is extremely fast and PBs are differently on the cards for those in good shape! 420 runners took part in 2009 and enjoyed the well organised and marshalled route, where chip timing and kilometre markers along the route made for an enjoyable race for all. The start, finish, registration, changing, showers and car parking are all available at the Partington Leisure Centre, Chapel Lane, Partington, Manchester.

All finishers receive a goody bag and an extra £1 on entry entitles you to a memento race medal. Race entries are £10 (club runners) or £11 with a medal or £12 (non club runners) or £13 with a medal. Entries are available on the day as long as the race limit of 800 has not been reached (£12 attached / £14 unattached).
