Entries Open At Chatsworth

14 DEC2011

Chatsworth 10k

Organisers of the Chatsworth 10k and Fun Run have announced entries are now open for the event. Due to take place on Sunday, May 20 2012, the race is expected to attract over 1,000 runners to Derbyshire.

Now in its fifth year, the event boasts some fantastic scenery all set against the surroundings of the majestic Chatsworth Estate. Departing from deer park, the multi-terrain route is predominantly flat and levels off after an initial hill. The track then follows through the estate and out onto the moor top, before descending back into parkland.

Last year's race saw 1065 competitors finish, with Adrian Mussett of Colchester Harriers taking first place with a time of 32:56. Christine Howard of Matlock Athletics Club was the top placed female, completing the course in 40:38.

The event is being organised in coordination with Helen's Trust, with all proceeds from the race going to the charity. Entries for the 10k are priced at £16.00 for affiliated members, £18.00 for non- members. The 3k Fun Run is priced at £8 for adults and £6 for children.

You can enter online now by visiting the Helen's Trust website.
