Running On Screen
9 FEB2012

This year's Sheffield Adventure Film Festival will be of particular interest to running enthusiasts with the art deco cinema showcasing some of the most intriguing and extreme running films of 2011.
Now in its seventh year, the festival begins on Friday, March 9, and will screen more than 70 adventure films ranging from white water rafting in Quebec to cycling in the Utah desert. The running films will feature Kilian Jornet's 45km route up to Mount Olympus and Jared Campbell's 2300ft / descent down Utah's Slabs of Olympus in an hour.
In addition, there is a 15-minute portrait of Fiona Rennie, the Scottish ultra runner who fought her way back from a life-threatening brain haemorrhage to race distances of up to 100 miles.
For more information of the running films on offer, visit the Sheffield Adventure Film Festival's website.
