Jingle Bell Jog Sledging Towards Salford

Jingle Bell Jog

On Sunday 3 December MediaCityUK will host a festive fun run that is sure to appeal to one and all, the Jingle Bell Jog. The family-friendly event will see participants dress up in festive costumes, which, from previous years, has included some spectacular Santas, reindeers and elves, to complete a short 5k course around Salford.

Set in the shadows of the BBC and ITV studios, MediaCityUK will be the perfect backdrop to kickstart the festive activities. The venue is regarded as one of the most iconic in the north west and is the site at which the popular UKFast City of Salford 10K, also organised by Sports Tours International, takes place each year.

Kevin Harmer of Sports Tours International commented on the event: “We are delighted to bring the Jingle Bell Jog back to MediaCityUK, so friends and families can come together and take part in an event that isn’t timed, a whole lot of fun and something that everyone will remember over the Christmas period.”

The short route will see participants move out from the start line on the MediaCityUK Piazza, over the water onto the Trafford side to pass by the Imperial War Museum and Coronation Street Studios, before returning back over the river past the BBC buildings to finish.

Runners are invited to bring their own festive costume or can collect a Santa suit when completing their registration. Further entry details are available here.
