Swift As A Samurai with Pearl Izumi

We've got two pairs of the new Kissaki-style shoes from Pearl Izumi to give away!

Kissaki Weapon

Pearl Izumi goes back to its Japanese roots for Spring 2012 with the launch of a new running shoe dubbed the "KISSAKI".

The "Kissaki" name literally translates to the tip of the Samurai's sword in Japanese warrior culture, fitting perfectly with this shoe's cutting-edge features. The "Kissaki" was designed for runners who wish to embrace natural running without sacrificing performance or comfort.

Women's Lime/Dahlia Kissaki

The "Kissaki" is a neutral cushioning shoe featuring a highly breathable and seamless upper with memory foam in the heel counter for a custom-like fit. The midsole features Pearl Izumi's energy foam technology, providing the runner with shock absorption on heel strikes whilst returning energy on the forefoot for a fast "toe-off".

The outsole features a full blown rubber outsole with a hard-wearing carbon-rubber heel crash pad for added grip and durability.

Men's Black/Electric Blue Kissaki

Pearl Izumi uses different foam densities in the midsole of the shoe to help with a more natural running gait and roll-in of the foot.

The "Kissaki" weighs 266g for the men's style (size 8) and 238g for women's (size 5.5). It will be available from February 2012 at £99.99 in two colour options: True Blue/Lime or Black/Electric Blue for men's and Lime/Dahlia or Black/Electric Pink for Women's.
