The Global Energy Race is back for the 4th year running!

We're back once again in 2019 with the run we bill as the ‘Race Against Hunger’ as we continue to work in partnership with our charity partner the Trussell Trust to fulfil their vision:

To end hunger and poverty in the UK

The race will take place at the beautiful Rother Valley Country Park, Rotherham, South Yorkshire.

In partnership with the Trussell Trust, the mission of the race is to support the charity – raising both awareness and funds – and all profits in 2019 will go to the Trussell Trust.

For every single kilometre run by you, we, The New York Bakery Co, will also donate one bagel to local food banks. The more you run, the more bagels we will donate. In addition to this, volunteers from the Trussell Trust will be on hand to collect food donations with the aim of collecting 1000 meals, so be sure to bring something along and help us smash this goal.

The race welcomes ALL, whatever your ability. There are three distances on offer: the family and individual 3k, individual 5k and individual 10k. So, whether you are a beginner looking to stretch your legs or an experienced runner looking for a PB, the Race Against Hunger welcomes all.

For the competitive runners amongst us there is an amazing prize on offer. The winner of the 10K (male and female) will win a trip to the 2020 Global Energy Race host city Buenos Aires, Argentina for them and a guest of their choice.

This is a global running race that takes place on the same day in 22 countries across 36 cities. In which you can participate with your family, friends, even run with the dog and you’ll be running or walking for a very good cause.

With your help, Grupo Bimbo and its brands all over the world will donate more than 1.5 million bread product to food banks. Run with us and be part of the biggest sporting event.

We expect this event to sell-out so make sure you sign up now to avoid disappointment.
