Age UK, the charity that supports vulnerable older people, has announced three top venues for its 2015 Spring 10K Series. The events, billed as inclusive and fun family-orientated occasions, will be staged at Tatton Park, Cheshire (Sunday 1 March); Harewood House, Leeds (Sunday 8 March); and Crystal Palace, London (Sunday 22 March).
Lydia Curran, Head of Events at Age UK said: “Signing up to one of our 10k or 2k events is a great motivation to keep active and healthy during the winter. In addition you will be helping us to raise vital funds for vulnerable older people this spring. We look forward to seeing as many people as possible at the start lines at these three great events."
Tatton Park is the setting for a trail run on Sunday 1 March - perfect for experienced runners and first-timers alike. Participants will enjoy the views across Tatton Mere.
Runners can experience the beautiful grounds of Harewood House on Sunday March 8, and the spectacular stately home in spring as they take in the dramatic Yorkshire countryside on a scenic trail run.
The mini-series concludes in London on Sunday 22 March at Crystal Palace where starting and ending in the renowned Crystal Palace Athletics Stadium will give runners that extra boost for a sprint finish.
The 10k events cost £18 to enter (or £16 before December) and are open to anyone over 16 who would like to run or jog the 10k route.
