The UK’s largest festive fun run is set to hit the streets of Merseyside once more when BTR Liverpool hosts the Santa Dash on Sunday 3 December. Known to provide a sprinkling of early Christmas cheer across Liverpool, the 5k is also involved in an annual transatlantic battle with Las Vegas for the World Santa Challenge title.
In what will be the 14th staging of the event, the Santa Dash will see Merseyside transformed into a sea of red and blue santas as they congregate at Pier Head and make their way over a 5k course that moves through the city centre before a grandstand finish outside Liverpool Town Hall.
The 5k is very much an all-inclusive affair and walkers, hoppers, skippers and four-legged friends are invited to take part. Staged alongside the Santa Dash is the popular 1K Mini Dash – ideal for the whole family.
In the lead up to December’s event, organisers have confirmed that Claire House Children’s Hospice will be its official charity partner. The hospice helps seriously and terminally ill children live life to the full by creating wonderful experiences and bringing back a sense of normality to family life.
