All Roads Lead To Rome

Rome MarathonThe Jubilee edition of Rome Marathon will see pilgrims and runners alike flocking to the Italian capital on 11 April 2016. The event is so named as it coincides with the Eternal City’s Mercy Jubilee – a special year of universal pardon.

Despite being nicknamed the City of Seven Hills, the marathon has a relatively flat route.  Now in its 22nd year, the marathon takes in all the major sights from the Coliseum to the Roman Forum as well as St. Peter's Square and Vatican City. In addition to the marathon, there is a supporting family fun run (entered locally). Combined with the marathon it attracts around 70,000 participants each year, making it the largest sporting event in the country.
Travel specialists, Sports Tours International is offering various packages for the race.
