BMW Rochdale Half opens doors for 2019

Rochdale Half Marathon

Entry for the Williams BMW Rochdale Half Marathon, 10K and Fun Run are now open with organisers offering a generous discount for those who register before Christmas Eve. Sunday 6 October will represent the fifth staging of the event, which is co-ordinated by Rochdale Borough Council.

2018 saw the biggest turnout to date with 1,300 runners registering across the events. With sunshine hitting the backs of runners as they departed Rochdale Town Hall, participants tackled a course that took in some of the borough’s best countryside scenes.

Janet Emsley, the council’s cabinet member for neighbourhoods, community and culture said demand for places has been higher than ever: “We’ve sold the first 70 places in just a few hours and interest in the event is stronger than we’ve ever seen. This festive discount should encourage people to secure their places for what is already a great value event.”

There are just 250 discounted places available (125 each for the 10k and half), with prospective entrants required to register before Monday 24 December. Reduced entry for the 10k is priced at £15.60, while the half has been slashed to £18.40 (normally £32.40).

Registration is available here.
