Buddy Up For Gruesome Twosome

Gruesome Twosome Half Marathon

For those that find themselves inseparable from their running buddy, the Gruesome Twosome Half Marathon on Saturday 12 October may be the ideal event. Organised by the team behind the popular Lincolnshire half marathon, Tape2Tape, runners are required to finish the 13.1 miles with their partner.

Starting and finishing in the village of Swallow, competitors will move through an undulating multi-terrain route that includes grassland, trails, tarmac roads and meadows. The half marathon is said to offer a challenging course through some of the county's finest scenic countryside.

The inaugural race saw Julian Moorhouse (Birchfield Harriers) and Gavin Mann (Scunthorpe & District) take top spot, with the pair coming home in 81:26.

The half marathon, now in its second year, has proven to be popular and there are a limited number of entries available for this year's event. Registration is priced at £18 for affiliated runners, £20 otherwise, with a beanie hat and hot soup / roll included in price.

All funds raised from will be donated to the children's charity When You Wish Upon a Star. You can follow NORTHERN RUNNING GUIDE on Facebook and Twitter.
