Bag Berlin With Sports Tours International
To say the pancake flat course is conducive to fast times is an understatement. Berlin is home to the last three male world marathon records, set by Patrick Makau, Wilson Kipsang, and Dennis Kimetto respectively.
The World Marathon Major route takes runners on a historic tour of the city with a spectacular finish at the 18th century Brandenburg Gate. The course starts in the centre of Berlin, between the Brandenburg Gate and Victory Column, taking runners out to the west of the city, before heading east past the Reichstag and television tower. The route then leads down to the south west of the city, passing the Kaiser-Willhelm Church and Postdamer Platz. The finishing straight is on one of Berlin's most famous streets, Unter den Linden, with the finish line just through the Brandenburg Gate.
Sports tours offer a range of ideally located 4-star accommodation. For more information visit the Sports Tours International website.
