Organisers of Derby’s Ramathon have announced that isotonic sports drink, iPro Sport, has signed up to become the event’s official sports drink sponsor. The Midlands race made a much-anticipated return last year and 4000 places have been made available for Sunday 7 June.
Starting and finishing at the iProStadium, runners will be able to enjoy a newly designed 13.1 mile course, which will still include the villages of Shardlow, Ambaston, Elvaston and the Castle Grounds
iPro Sport will be available firstly at station 2, at 6.5miles into the run, and then at station 3, at 9 miles along the half marathon course. iPro sport comes in three flavours – Orange & Pineapple, Berry Mix and Citrus Blend – and contains 100% natural ingredients. The drink also contains vitamins such as B6, B12 and C and is proven to replenish the body with minerals which are lost through sweat when undertaking rigorous exercise.
Lisa Marraffa, marketing director at iPro Sport commented: “We are very proud of our strong connections to the city of Derby and as such are delighted to be supporting such a wonderful event for the second year running. It’s great to see the whole community come together, particularly with the inclusion of the Mini Ramathon for young children. Runners taking part in the half marathon show great strength and discipline and we are looking forward to helping to rehydrate them on the day.”
