Runners interested in taking part in the Spire Healthcare English half marathon are being encouraged to register by the close of the month to take advantage of the summer entry price. The event, organised for Sunday 8 September, is set to draw in its largest field to date with over 2,000 runners expected.
The race, now under the direction of Contest Sports, takes competitors from a picturesque, tree-lined start point at Victoria Park through the southern communities of Warrington.
September's event will also be marked by a spectacular entrance by the RAF parachute display team, The Falcons, who will descend on the start line 15 minutes before the race begins. After making their entrance, the team will then test their aerobic endurance by tackling the 13.1 miles.
The summer entry price allows prospective runners to register for £24 (£26 non UKA-affiliated) until 30 June. For more information, visit the English half marathon website.
