Anyone competing at the upcoming North Lincolnshire Half Marathon (Sunday 7 May) is being offered £13 off any pair of trainers at the Metres to Miles running shop. The discount is part of a partnership between race organiser Tape 2 Tape and the popular Epworth-based retailer.
Now in its sixth year, the North Lincolnshire Half Marathon has proved to be a big hit with a friendly reputation. The course is super fast too with just 69 metres of climb over the course of 13.1 miles, making it one of the flattest in the UK.
This was demonstrated at last year's event, with a flurry of impressive times. Notts AC’s Tim Hartley secured top spot in 1:09:31, with Daniel Kerstel second (1:10:00) and Tesfaye Debele third (1:10:30). Charnwood’s Jane Potter headed the female field and took 11th overall in a speedy 1:14:38, with Natalie Burns (1:18:41) her closest competitor.
Looking ahead to this weekend’s race, the exciting offer, which runs until Saturday, is open to anyone who has registered – or indeed as a further incentive to anyone considering a last-minute entry. In addition to the £13 discount, runners will also receive free gait analysis to ensure trainers are a perfect fit.
