Farah Out Of Bupa 10000

Mo Farah Bupa 10000

Mo Farah has withdrawn from Sunday’s Bupa 10000 in London. The double Olympic champion has pulled out of racing after his agent admitted he was not ready to compete after his exertions in last month’s Virgin Money London Marathon where he finished eighth.

The double Olympic champion’s agent, Ricky Simms said: “Mo has decided not to compete in the Bupa London 10,000 because he is not yet ready to race after the London Marathon. He took a few weeks off training, went on holiday, and just resumed jogging 10 days ago. He’s looking forward to being a guest at the events.”

Farah will now officially start the race alongside Jennie Bond, ex-Royal Correspondent and TV presenter.

Andy Vernon and Chris Thompson, first and second respectively at the recent British 10,000m championships on the track in Highgate, now head the 17,200-strong field. The event covers much of the capital’s most iconic landmarks, starting on The Mall, heading along Embankment before returning to Westminster for a spectacular finish in front of Buckingham Palace.
